Art of the Day

Hey! I have some new things.

I now present May Girl and Ame ga Furu Mae Ni. I must say that my main objective with these works was to show Milkshake's childish innocence and her general happiness to be alive. Plus, I wanted to see how I could make color art that reminds me of books like Ivy and Bean or Finally.

Writing blog announcement

I'm going to put all my stories and fanfics on a separate blog, which will be called "Mocha-san's Desktop". It'll be created shortly and will be put on a link list along with my webcomic archive. ^_^

SORRY EVERYBODY

I'm sorry, I've been delayed all week because I was making new November strips to kickstart the comic.

So! Art. Today's art shall be my improved version of Strobo Nights, which I have wanted to do for a while. Here it is!
As for music this week, I shall post the beautiful "Dear My Friend" by Brent Cash. I freaking underestimated this song in levels of feels and it seriously made me sob when I heard in Sonic Unleashed. Chip was the most adorable little dork and I sincerely miss him. Thank you, Archie, for bringing him back for the comics, though! (But I'm still mad that you keep teasing me with Werehog hints.)

Comic Update!!

November York has two completed strips! YAY! And 50 blog pageviews in the first day! DOUBLE YAY!
So, that being said, Tsugihagi Tantei is officially a running webcomic.
The comic will update really frequently for the first week it's been created, but once Friday comes I'll stop production for a sec and get on a weekly update schedule. So, after July 10, November York will be updated EVERY FRIDAY.
Okay, so that's it! You can check out the archive here: http://november-york-tsugihagi-tantei.blogspot.com

UPDATE

VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

I am starting a 4-koma project called the "November York 4-koma Project" (I know, uncreative title.). The point is, the 4-koma will start as soon as I start sketching and I plan that it will start next Friday. (I have a week!)
I'll have to work on the November York first story some more, so at least you guys have something to look at while I'm drawing.
I WILL TRY!

Anyways, to read the comic, I'll set up a secondary blog so you can read it once it officially begins. It'll start as manga pages, though. I'll be busy this week. -_-'

OK? OK! I'll see you guys later for the featured artwork!

I have returned!

Hey, everyone! I'm back in the study! Texas was great, by the way. But it's REALLY HOT. Honestly.
Now, then? I guess I owe some art and music for the blog, right? Cool.

OK, for the Art Post for today, I'll put up "Corona -wobble magic library mix-". It's a FANTASTIC mix by the wonderful Kamomesano on SoundCloud!
Here is the art:
And here is the song:

For the Music of the Week, I'll nominate the lovely song "Kisaragi Attention" by Jin/Shizen no Teki-P. I love the Kagerou series and I am an active shipper of HibiMomo. HATERS GONNA HATE.

OK, well, I'll see you guys tomorrow! I'm tired.

Music of the Week #3

Before I leave for Texas, I wanna put the music post for the week.
To get into the mood for travelling, this week's music is "Romantic Flight/Roman Hikou" by HALCALI. It's one of their newer singles.

See you later!

Art Post of the Day #9

Today's art, or rather, the last art I'll be able to post till I get back from Texas, is for the song "SPiCa" by Hatsune Miku. I had an original version, but I redid it and called it the "Celestial Edit".

So, here it is!

Apologies, people!

I might not be too active until Thursday, because I'm packing up for my Texas trip. It's going to be kind of busy, so if you like my blog and don't see too many new posts I apologize. Thanks for reading my blog though!
(My audience tab tells me that I'm getting lots of views from Russia. That's an interesting thing to think about!)

Tasukete Part 2

Now, here is the kanji for "Ame ga Furu Mae Ni":

Tasukete!

Hi, everybody! I need a favor.
I have this wonderful album called A Study in Blue by Millstones, and there were two songs I was really hoping to translate. I did a really rough translation of the songs, but if you're reading this would you mind hardsubbing it so I can make sure? If you could sub this entirely it'd be great.
The kanji for the first song, "Short Circuit", is here:

Darn...

Unfortunately, I'm still up, due to that stupid sound test giving me nightmares. So, I'll ramble a bit here.

#1: All my stories will be posted on here sooner or later, I'm just a lazy bum. ^_^' But, if you really want to read them, you can visit Patchwork Study on Figment.com.

#2: Due to my insomnia, I'm trying to woo myself to sleep through Hitsuji no Oyasumi × Hetalia. May the Lord bless you, Hetalia.

#3: I might be a little short on posts next week, because I'm heading to Texas to visit family. I'll be very busy so I hope I'll even have time to update stuff.

#4: Despite how much I love summer, in all honesty, I can't WAIT for September. Why? Sonic, of course! Sonic Boom will premiere on TV the first weekend of September (or so I've heard), and I hope I'll grab a chance to watch it. Plus, in Archie comics, Sonic the Werehog will make his comic debut! (IT'S ABOUT TIME, ARCHIE.) And I don't even care how they're characterizing people, I wanna see how this turns out. *sparkles* DOU DEMO II DESU YO~

All right, I'm done. Later, gators.

Random doodle before bed, guys!

Darn Junichi. Quit giving me the image of Sonic being a fantastic singer.
AND THEN I FIND OUT THAT KULULU AND WEREHOG-SAN ARE GOOD SINGERS TOO WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN...

I wish I could give it a better picture, but I couldn't find anything I actually wanted. Aw, well!

Art Post of the Day will be uploaded soon. I'm so behind!

Staging Wednesday Chap. 1 - Wednesday's Dream

Wednesday trekked lazily into the drama room.
It was no secret that Wednesday despised school. Sure, she was actually a wonderful student and often got top grades, but she still hated it. She didn't see the point of having to get up in the early hours of the morning just to go to a shabby building and be forced to learn English and math.
However, there was only one class that made Wednesday even tolerate coming to school, and that class was drama. Here, she could act out her dreams.
She took a seat in the front row, like she always did. As she sat down, a girl with jet black hair in pigtails plopped down next to her. "Hi, Wednesday!" the girl said cheerfully.
"Hi, Haruka," said Wednesday, smiling slightly. Haruka was Wednesday's best friend, a Japanese-American who was fascinated by voice acting and the art of making grilled cheese sandwiches (Wednesday never really understood that).
The two talked about random matters as students filed into the room, but things took a turn when Haruka mentioned their drama teacher, Ms. Labelle, had said she had an announcement.
"What kind of announcement?" asked Wednesday cautiously. Everybody knew Ms. Labelle's announcements usually ended in trouble.
"I don't know," replied Haruka. "But I overheard her telling the math teacher that she had something "new and creative" planned, and that she knew "the perfect person, the chosen one" that could pull it off." Haruka, despite her slight Asian accent, imitated Ms. Labelle's voice to perfection.
Before Wednesday could comment, the bell rang and class began. Ms. Labelle dramatically opened the curtains and stepped out onto the stage, facing the 30 wide-eyed faces before her.
"Good morning, everyone!" said Ms. Labelle.
"Good morning," said the class.
"First of all, I'd like to congratulate everyone on last week's performance," said Ms. Labelle. "Even if it did not go perfectly as planned, I am still very proud of you for keeping calm and carrying on, so to speak."
The kids looked at each other. It was true--the last play that was put on by the class was called "The Chinese Wonderland", which was about a lost princess who ends up in a strange other kingdom and is chased by jiangshis or whatever. The point was, that a kid who was playing a jiangshi accidentally hopped off the stage, and one girl tried doing a stage dive during a musical number. It definitely wasn't the best night ever, especially to Wednesday, who had spent half the play putting a hand to her face.
Ms. Labelle continued, "However, that is behind us now. Our next project will be another original act, which will be put on by a mystery person. I will not tell you that yet. Anyways, let us begin our acting practice."

*****

After at least 30 minutes of doing random monologues on the stage, the bell rang and class was dismissed to lunch. The class almost stampeded out, including Haruka (she knew there would be Panini sandwiches for lunch).
Before she could exit, Ms. Labelle called Wednesday to her desk. Wednesday nervously walked to her teacher's office, wiping her sweaty hands on her coat.
"Hello, Wednesday," said Ms. Labelle calmly.
"H-hello, Ms. Labelle," said Wednesday, her voice shaky.
"Do not worry, you're not in trouble." Wednesday relaxed a bit. "I have a very important task for you."
Looking into Wednesday's deep blue eyes, Ms. Labelle said, "I would like you to produce the drama class's next performance."

Introduction

Hello, guys! Welcome to my blog!

If you wanna talk, say something. The Study's always open!
